BUCKET STOPPER

Bucket Stopper

Bucket STOPPER supplier

Star Hydraulics are one of the leading suppliers of Bucket Stoppers. These Bucket Stoppers Supplier are flexible plastic stripes that act as a physical barrier to water.

These barriers are commonly employed at concrete joints in basements, water-retaining structures such as structural foundations, water tanks and swimming pools, and other below-ground constructions.

A typical Bucket Stopper consists of two identical halves on either side of a central bulb. Increased path length made possible by this design effectively diverts any water that could try to enter past the Bucket Stopper’s edge.

Bucket Stoppers increase their efficiency in preventing water penetration and preserving the integrity of the structures they are applied to by offering this extra extension.

Star Hydraulics is dedicated to producing Bucket Stoppers of the highest calibre that adhere to industry requirements and provide dependable water barrier solutions.

Compounding of Bucket Stopper’s

Our Bucket Stoppers are specially manufactured using an anti-ageing customized plastic compound. Additionally, it has PVC as a base polymer. These Bucket Stoppers offer several advantageous properties, such as high elasticity and tensile strength, immunity to corrosion, ensuring long-lasting durability even in harsh environments, and excellent weather resistance.

They can withstand exposure to various chemicals, including acids, alkalis, metals, salts, and other corrosive substances. Other properties include lower water absorption, reducing the risk of water permeation through the joint. With their high hydrostatic pressure withstanding capacity, the Bucket Stoppers effectively resist water pressure, maintaining a watertight seal.

Moreover, the Bucket Stoppers are suitable for applications with dynamic loads or vibrations because they can endure strong turbine shocks. In times of earthquakes and flooding, they also show resilience, adding to the security.

Sandhya Enterprises assures its Bucket Stoppers contain various qualities to suit the many demands of water barrier applications. It combines the anti-ageing customized plastic compound with PVC as the basic polymer.

Application in construction industry

  • Bucket Stoppers effectively seal and concrete joints, preventing water seepage.

They can withstand expansion and contraction movements at the joints without compromising their sealing capabilities.

  • Bucket Stoppers accommodate displacement and deflection caused by temperature variations, differential settlement of foundations, and seismic forces.

The watertight seal eliminates the risk of cracks and ensures the structural integrity of the construction joints.

Selection of appropriate Bucket Stopper’s

  • Ribbed Type – It is specially designed as a multi-purpose Bucket Stopper, which is used for the expected differential settlement of poured concrete and ensures a firm grip with the surrounding concrete, providing stability and preventing displacement of the Bucket Stopper.

  • Dumbbell Type – Dumbbell-type Bucket Stoppers are recommended for situations with a significant variation in temperature, leading to expansion and contraction of joints. These Bucket Stoppers are designed to accommodate these movements effectively, ensuring a reliable seal and preventing water seepage.

  • Kicker (Surface Type) – In cases where embedded Bucket Stoppers are not feasible due to the interference of steel reinforcement, kicker or surface-type Bucket Stoppers are utilized. These Bucket Stoppers are placed externally on the surface of the structure to provide a barrier against water seepage, overcoming the limitations posed by the presence of steel reinforcement within the concrete.

Installation procedure:

The Bucket Stoppers are secured to the steel structure during installation using tiny wires that are threaded through the eyelets. Additionally, metal clamps are used to hold the water stop seal firmly in place. Usually, the installation requires a step-by-step process.

The Bucket Stopper is first partially inserted into the concrete, extending the other half. This initial positioning guarantees a solid connection with the concrete building. Movement and flexibility are possible because of the expanded half.

After that, the other half of the Bucket Stopper is inserted into the concrete, being sure to leave space around the centre bulb for expansion and contraction motions. With this arrangement, the Bucket Stopper may adapt to structural changes and temperature-related changes without losing its ability to block water effectively.

Applications Of Bucket Stopper’s

  • Public Utilities: For bridges, canals, aqueducts, water filtrations systems, water tanks, tunnels, road embankments, swimming pools, sewage plants, reservoirs, clarifiers, dams, and irrigation projects cooling towers.

  • Buildings: Basements, retaining walls, foundations slabs, terraces, masonry joints, overhead & underground water tanks.

  • Industries: For fertilizer steel, waste treatment plants, chemical plants, shipyard & docks atomic reactors, and thermal & hydropower stations.

Precautions to take while Bucket Stopper installation

  • They are susceptible to damage during the construction process.
  • Proper compaction of concrete around the Bucket Stopper is crucial to prevent dislocation.
  • Inadequate reduction can lead to the formation of honeycombs, creating porous areas in the concrete.
  • Honeycombing increases the risk of water leakage through the concrete instead of the intended joint.
  • Careful handling and correct compaction techniques are essential to maintain the effectiveness of Bucket Stoppers and prevent water seepage through joints.

Methods for joining Bucket Stopper’ss with heater blade

  • Make sure the water bars that will be connected are the same width and style. To level them, use a knife sharply.
  • Once it reaches the proper temperature, turn on the electric heater blade.
  • Place the Bucket Stopper so that it melts but doesn’t cause burning on either side of the heater blade.
  • In an upward motion, carefully remove the heating blade.
  • Make sure the Bucket Stopper’s melted ends are properly aligned before quickly joining them together. For 20 to 30 seconds, tightly clasp them together.
